Final Design Assignment

I actually came out with an idea for my final design and was almost done with it, but when i was in the last tutorial class, my lecturer suggested that i should combine all the sketches into one design. the only problem was, i had about only 24 hours. BUTTTT.... my lecturer said 'why don't you do it??' and i thought. okayyyy fine :)

 

So here it goes!

 

i first scanned all the sketches so i can start painting them using photoshop like below.

 

 After doing it to all the sketches, i created a black background with white wash all over it. then i placed the pictures of the painted children on the background to see which placing look best.

 When i got the position and placing i wanted, i realised, i didn't like the plain background and it didn't really go with my characters. so i decided to paint the remaining places with bright colours.

 Finally, i adjusted some parts of the pictures and used the oil paint filter to create the'oil painting' look.

and. TADAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

I don't know if it was a mistake to combine all the characters together, and i know it doesn't look perfect or professional. There are some mistakes and imperfections here and there, but i'm defintely happy with my artwork. I believe i have used the things i've been taught and what i have learned in my design class. I'm just glad i was given the opportunity to create this artwork to tell people about Child Abuse. I hope when people look at this picture, they will realise that Child Abuse is a horrible thing, and that it will hurt a child inside out. whether it is physical or not, a child will be scarred for life. i just want to give the message that, This should stop.

Sketches

Did these sketches inspired by some of the pictures i searched from the internet. These are just the basic form for my final result. i will choose one from these 5 sketches, and edit the rest using photoshop. my idea is to add bruises and more details Thought of adding some words, but i'll just see what i'll come up with at the end. because i'll never know if something else will inspire me.
